Switzerland: Coop Launches Regional Products.
Coop is launching its new "Regional Organic Specialities" product line this autumn as part of the Coop Naturaplan competence brand. The launch starts with milk products and the range is to be extended continuously. Coop is aiming for a medium-term turnover of 100 million CHF for the new products. Fresh products are to originate completely from the stated regions and at least 90 per cent of the raw materials for processed products; processing is to take place locally if possible. Common to all products are the premium quality and the organic production in line with Bio Suisse directives.
